CHEESY BILTONG PULL-APART BUNS


🧂 Ingredients

  • 3-4 hamburger buns (preferably crusty or brioche-style)
  • 60g party dip or cottage cheese (Cheese & Chives or flavour of your choice)
  • 80 g cream cheese
  • ¼ - ½ cup finely chopped biltong
  • 80g melted butter (preferably unsalted)
  • legg
  • 1 handful chopped parsley or dill
  • 1 tbsp crushed garlic
  • 1 cup grated cheese (mozzarella and cheddar mix recommended)

🧑🍳 Recipe Steps:

  1. Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, mix together the party dip or cottage cheese, cream cheese, and chopped biltong until well combined.
  2. Cut a deep cross on the top of each bun without slicing all the way through.
    Spoon the cream cheese and biltong mixture generously into each cut.
  3. Make the Butter Mixture: In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, parsley (or dill), and crushed garlic until combined.
  4. Dip each filled bun into the butter mixture, ensuring the top and sides are well coated.
  5. Top each bun with a generous amount of grated cheese.
  6. Place the buns in the air fryer basket.
  7. Air fry at 180°C for 8-10 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Allow to cool for 2 minutes before serving.

** Enjoy warm, crispy on the outside, creamy and cheesy on the inside.
