BILTONG & BRIE PASTRY BITES


🧂 Ingredients

  • 1 x sheet puff pastry
  • Cranberry sauce / caramelised onion chutney / any jam of your choice
  • Brie cheese
  • Biltong
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Everything bagel spice or salt, pepper & sesame

🍳 Recipe Steps:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
  2. Cut the brie into small rectangular cubes.
  3. Cut the puff pastry into 24 rectangles (4 rows x 3 columns, then split each piece in half): 12 top pieces and 12 bottom pieces
  4. On each base piece, layer your sauce of choice, a piece of brie, and some biltong.
  5. On each top piece, cut 4 vertical slits (don't cut all the way through).
  6. Place the top piece over the filling and press the edges closed with a fork.
  7. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with seasoning.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

** You can really use your own creativity and play around with different fillings.
